A value judgement about games based on what? I would reckon it is not first hand knowledge.

I bet the same people would be astounded if we questioned the value of art galleries but I really fail to see how there is any more inherent value in pictures. Don’t get me wrong, I am not running down art, I am just saying it is fairly easy to question the value of things other people enjoy.

From what I understand many libraries incorporate game events into their programming, and this media coverage will only inform those who haven’t been to their library for a while that maybe they should check it out. If you can’t learn anything from video games why did the school district have us spend time in the computer lab playing Oregon Trail?
